President Buhari receives report from investigative group led by Judge Ayo Salami into suspension of EFCC acting president Ibrahim Magu

On Friday, November 20, President Muhammadu Buhari received the report of the investigative panel led by Judge Ayo Salami into alleged corruption charges against the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.

During the brief ceremony in the Executive Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja, Judge Salami handed the President boxes of documents that were supposed to constitute volumes of the report.

Recall that after Magu was accused of corruption and abuse of power by the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the panel was formed by President Buhari and had 45 days to complete the mission. The deadline was, however, further extended after the panel requested more time.
